Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program is a homeless prevention program designed to assist veterans and veteran families at risk of homelessness to maintain their housig and to rapidly re-house veteran families who have recently become homeless.
WHO QUALIFIES:
Low Income single veterans or veteran families who are:
Currently residing in permanent housing and at risk of becoming homeless OR
Currently homeless or recently exited permanent housing and are scheduled or able to become a resident of permanent housing within 90 days.

Social Service Assistance & Financial Assistance Services

Voluntary Action Center has received funding from the Northeastern Pennsylvania Health Care Foundation for a Senior Well-Being Program.
Our Senior Well-Being Program connects seniors (age 60 and older) with services and programs that are available to them (Free of Charge!) in Lackawanna County. If you are over 60, you may be eligible for programs that will help you stay active and healthy, help you pay for prescriptions and food, and help you manage your monthly budget.
