The 146th Episcopal Diocesan Convention was held at the Carbondale Grand Hotel. The reception and mass was hosted by Trinity Church with the assistance from Christ Church, Grace Church and St. James-St. George Church. Here at Trinity we felt so honored to partake at such a glorious event. The church hall was filled with laughter and awe. Delicious snacks were provided by the ECW. Time-Line photos of memorabilia were placed in the small hall. A questionnaire was provided about the history of Trinity with the answers all provided on the Time-Line wall! Many clergy and guests participated and the winner received a basket of wine and wine glasses painted by Debbie Minton. Also, lovely painted rocks were placed outside for everyone to take as souvenirs.
The Mass was spectacular. The Church was filled to capacity and the voices of the combined choir filled up to the rafters. The Priests in heir vestments; the choir in their robes and the acolytes leading the procession was something to behold as Bishop Sean followed smiling all the way. It was a heartwarming experience for all and one that we will never forget.
